Run, walk, or roll - everyone's welcome in this all inclusive event supporting individuals on the autism spectrum.
Every step you take makes a difference! Join us for the PACE Autism Shero Run, a fun and challenging 5K or 10K run/walk in Pacoima, CA at Hansen Dam Recreation Area (or virtually anywhere!) Show your support for children and adults on the autism spectrum and help PACE create a more inclusive world.
Did you know? 1 in 54 children and 1 in 45 adults in the U.S. are on the autism spectrum.Each individual has unique strengths, challenges, and dreams. By participating, you're helping empower them to reach their full potential.
REGISTRATION INCLUDES
Easy Sign-up: Teams and individuals of all abilities welcome! Register online for the in-person event (May 10th) by May 9th at 6:00 PM PDT or for the virtual race by May 31st at 11:59 PM PDT.
Inclusive Options: Run or walk the scenic Hansen Dam course, or choose your own path for the virtual option.
Registration Perks: All participants receive:

- Chip timing for in-person runners
Prizes include:
- Top Finishers: Celebrate your achievements! Awards for the top 3 male and 3 female finishers in both 5K and 10K categories.

In Person Race day registration is available until 7:30am, May 10, 2024. (Note: Price increase $20 Day of event & Swag bag may be delayed)
Virtual Fun: Even if you can't join us in person, you can still be a Shero! Participate virtually and get a race bib and finisher medal mailed to you. Virtual Race registration is available until May 31 2025 11:59 PM.

Dangerous surface near the start/finish
The race start point was not correctly mentioned in the flyer. I spent 20 minutes looking around for the start line. The race starts and ends on a grassy surface. This is extremely risky as there is a high chance of getting your ankle twisted because there are many golf holes. They can instead move the race past the tunnel. The rest of the race was good. The race did not start on time.

It was a good race! Loved running/walking with my friends. There were plenty of water stops. like the games afterwards. Love seeing REI there giving away drinks. Well organized and fun to be there!

I loved participating in this 10K run! It was my first time participating in an event like this and it did not disappoint. My family and I were able to drink refreshing lemonades by Dunkin' Donuts after the run-- they were included with the price of the race which meant that we didn't have to pay. Acts of Kindness by Honda were doing massages and manicures for all the moms in attendance. Also, they a food truck if you wanted to purchase anything after the run. The event had a live DJ and activities for those with children. I would 100% recommend doing this as a newbie in the running world or just to spend quality time with your family. I definitely recommend participating and experiencing it because it's really fun. The directions on the map were clear and their selected spot for registration was easy to find. Parking was full quickly but it was not a problem for us since we had some family members not participating so they could figure out were to park before the run. Anyway, there were fun things that made this run fun to participate in and I can only say that you should 100% do it. They give a prize for the 1st winners in each category by age. Thanks for a great event!
