Beef & Eggs 5K

Billed as South Dakota's Fastest 5k, the Beef and Eggs 5k has year in and year out attracted some of the top collegiate and regionally elite road racers while still providing a friendly atmosphere for all ages and abilities.  Now in its 18th year, the Beef and Eggs 5k also serves at the USATF Dakotas Association 5k Road Race Championships.

Registration includes a well protected and shaded USATF certified course that weaves its way through downtown and residential Brookings, including passes near Pioneer Park, the children’s museum, and through Hillcrest Park. The course is well marked with light traffic. We do our best to keep our entry fee low while still offering all the trappings...

Packet Pick-up: participants are encouraged to register early and pick up packets either on Friday evening from 5:30-6:30pm at Fit My Feet (720 25th Ave, Brookings, SD 57006), otherwise race-day registration and packet pick-up is available near the finish line in front of the courthouse (314 6th Ave) from 7-7:30am. 

Registration Fee: $25 through June 20th or $30 from June 21 through July 7. Online registration closes July 7th at midnight, but in-person registration is still available at Friday evening or Saturday morning packet pick-up times above.

Race Start: 8:00am, followed by a free 12 and under kids run at 9:00am, no registration required
