Supposedly this course was certified, but the course map shows a different route than was actually run. It was definitely longer than 15K. And the mile markers were not accurate. And no awards for 70 and over? People in their 70s competing against 60 year olds? Poor.

The refashioned course was nearly 10 miles long even though it is supposedly a 15K certified course; the 10 year AGs stopped at 60; only ONE award winner for 60-99 AG. That should have been mentioned in the sign-up. Bananas, power bars, and water for refreshments. No outside police to pay for. Available for extra dollars, $20 for a medal, $30 for breakfast, $23 for a non-runner to enter the gates. What did my $65 pay for? Vanderbilt had lots of money; why are his heirs so cheap?
