I drove almost an hour from my home in Centennial, CO at 7:00AM to get to the start of the race in Evergreen near the boat house. I've arrived around 8:00AM for the 5K at the start area where I was told that it actually started someplace else up 3 miles from the lake region (thinking I had to retrieve my bib up at that area since the race sponsors were giving me different answers). The two individuals working for the Alpine Rescue Team refused to shuttle me up even though there was a road space that was accessible for cars to drive up the hill. Consequently, I had to run the same distance as a 5k up to the actual start line realizing that there was no table up there to get the timing bib which wasn't what I was told. I did not get to run the race.
