Since 1954, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes has developed the next generation of faithful leaders.
100% of proceeds from the Fairfield Avenue Mile + FCA 5K will provide camp scholarships and program funding for student-athletes and coaches from Northern Kentucky.
FCA camps provide life-changing experiences for these kids and coaches including:
- Summer FCA Leadership Camp
- Wrestling Camp
- Volleyball Camp
- Coach and Spouse Getaway
and more!
The first-ever “Fairfield Avenue Mile”, organized by Bellevue residents Marty and Bobbie Mayer, was held in 1996. This rich tradition began even before the Cincinnati Flying Pig Race existed!
This year’s Fairfield Avenue Mile + FCA 5K will be held on Saturday, July 13th, beginning at 8:00 am. We will offer both the 1 mile (walkers/runners) and 5K (runners only) option again this year! Race will begin in Bellevue, KY, the 5K participants will run through Dayton, and the finish line will be near the Callahan Community Center in Bellevue.
People of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to participate.
Families are encouraged to walk or run with their children, push babies in strollers, and bring their leashed dogs. Children 5 years and under are free and are not required to register.
First Church of Christ is our official Race T-Shirt Sponsor again this year!!! The first 150 participants to register will receive a FREE tri-blend race shirt. Register BY June 17th to be guaranteed your shirt size.

Excellent Race
I have ran this race multiple times as a teenager with my dad and now as an adult with my own children. The volunteers are amazing, the course is great, and overall such a welcoming experience. This is the perfect race for both an experienced runner and a first timer. This year was my daughters first 5k and my sons first mile race! We will see you again next year.

Great race
I took part in the FCA Fairfield Avenue 5K for the first time on July 13, 2024 and am very glad I did! The event was very well organized and followed a thoroughly enjoyable course through Bellevue and then including more river views toward Dayton, KY. As a runner I felt challenged, welcomed, and safe (thank you Volunteers and local Law Enforcement!) One of the best 5K's I've run in this area; thank you.

Amazing event!
I had an absolutely amazing experience at this race! It wasn’t just a race, but an entire experience with the community. The course was beautiful, we starting Bellevue and ran next to the river! At the end, got to celebrate participants times, achievements, have snowcones, drinks, snacks, and mingle with the community. The Ratterman’s truly made everyone feel welcomed! It was also an amazing cause to so support!
