Juneau Marathon and Half-Marathon Race Description

Juneau Marathon and Half-Marathon are conducted on rolling, USATF-certified courses on Douglas and North Douglas Highways on Douglas Island (across Gastineau Channel from Juneau, Alaska).

CHECK BEFORE GOING LIVE: RRCA championship course? Check links. Add to JTRR company. Prices increased $5 per event. Add JTRR discount. Increase cost closer to event. Allow same day on-line registration. Move t-shirt size timeline a month or more. Make sure payments are direct deposit. May need to add waiver language. Add language re: what you get for participating. Customize emails and notifications as applicable KM 8/16/24

The marathon course features scenic water views and a stunning vista of Mendenhall Glacier.  Not too many other races in the USA can lay claim to that aspect!

It was challenging and fun to see all the dedicated people show up in the rain to race. With only 40-50 people running the marathon it was peaceful and not crowded like Disney races. The race organizers were extra encouraging all 5 1/2 hours of running.
