MyBFF 5K/8.13K

Welcome to the Sixth Annual 5K/8.13K Fundraising Walk in support of My Best Friends Foundation.  This foundation raises money to provide support to Friends fighting cancer and supports families who have lost someone to cancer.  The walk is in honor of Rod Wittig and Sharon Berryhill.   On August 13, 2020, Rod would have turned 50 years old.  8.13K is approximately 5.0 miles.  These numbers are a perfect way to honor Rod's memory. 

The 2025 My BFF 5K and 8.13K walk will be on August 9, 2024. You can participate virtually or in person and walk or run as little or as much as you can. It is scheduled to start at 9:30. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time. 

This year's walk will be held at Judson University, located at 1151 N. State St., Elgin, IL.   

Each paid registration will receive a t-shirt for the walk.  In person walkers will receive their shirt on the day of the walk. Virtual walkers' t-shirts will be mailed.  We will try to ensure you receive them before the day of the walk, depending on when you register.  YOU MUST REGISTER BY JULY 20 IN ORDER TO GET YOUR T-SHIRT ON TIME!! 

If you only wish to donate, please click the Fundraising button above. Even if you cannot participate, you can purchase an event t-shirt.  

Early registration is $35 per person, through July 20, 2025 and $40 per person after that. Extra T-shirts can be purchased for $25 each. 

You can also buy raffle tickets for some great prizes.  You do not need to be present to win.
