(race date estimated)Old Fashioned Gravel Race Description
The Old Fashioned Gravel ride/race is a new event coming at you in 2024! We are fortunate enough to have some of the best gravel riding in the Midwest and have put together four routes to show off the local terrain. As with all of our rides, we offer a little bit of everything and welcome EVERYONE from novice riders to the most seasoned racers. The focus of the ride is to bring like-minded individuals together for a great ride, but we will have professional timing so if you want to race we will have you covered too! Routes that will satisfy all of your gravely desires, and a post-ride gathering with food, drink, and hangs with new friends. Awards, raffle, and prizes (everything from ridiculous to awesome) to follow the ride!
We will introduce an awesome new venue in Hokah Minnesota, a rustic farm nestled in a scenic coulee. While the ride is about riding with other rad people like yourself, rest assured a portion of your entry fee will go to a local entity that could use a little financial help. If we can have a super fun time while helping others, that is what will make this a successful event. We will also be using local businesses to feed and hydrate us. Hokah is a super cool little town, and we would love to help keep our money local.
All routes will leave and finish at the farm. The gravel is approximately two miles from the start line, and one mile of that is a paved climb, once you are on the ridge, the dust shall start flying! All routes will descend this paved section upon return to the finish line.
Unfortunately, we are not offering refunds for this event.

I had a spectacular time. Being able to sleep in my car in the pasture was very helpful due to high prices of hotel rooms at that time. The organization of the event was great. The course was challenging yet beautiful.
Brian Werner's Review
I had a great time. I thought the venue was great, the route was great, the vendors were great. It was great :D

Amazing! I have done so many grassroots events in the Midwest and this was I think #1 for quality and hospitality. The hot coffee and pastries in the morning just make a difference to everyone. Also the super clean, not-porta potty bathrooms make my wife and family’s day so much nicer. The Driftless area is so special it’s hard not to love the course—even though it was damn challenging…
Hannah Witte's Review
As a not very experienced rider, it was a challenging course (even the shortest route) but overall doable and fun experience.

AMAZING course!!!!!
Ryan Greene's Review
I raced all over this year everything from Midsouth to Montana to Steamboat this race packed the biggest punch with the most gravel as far as course goes. The people were great, volunteers awesome, the only thing lacking was some organization and that big finish line feel that you get at some of these other races. Between this race, Midsouth, and last best ride it is a contender for one of my fav races of the year.

I unfortunately had a mechanical and dropped out at mile 40ish of the 100mile course, but those 40 miles were awesome

Incredibly fun event. Maps were a bit wonky bit that's a minor quibble.

Fantastic! I am assuming 5 is the highest, I'd give it a 10 otherwise

Most enjoyed a true gravel experience highlighting MN rolling farmland, barns and bluff views. Gathering in farm field pre and post race was an added bonus
