Ghost Chase Race Description

 

Join us Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Three Sisters Park

The Ghost Chase 5k is an event benefiting the Illinois Valley Central School district Band Programs: Marching Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Bands, Indoor Drumline & Guard

The event is held in October and consists of a 5K run and 1 Mile fun walk. 

Entry Fee: $25 Early Registration thru midnight October. 13, $30 after October. 13.  
Due to supply issues, registrations received after October 17 will not receive a shirt. 

Ghost Chase 5K at Three Sisters Park, October 28: A fun in-person cross country style 5k in Chillicothe, IL.

Unique Awards: Top three male and female overall. First place in each age group, both male & female: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & over. And Best Costume: Kids, Adults

Proceeds: Benefit the IVC Band program via the IVC Band Boosters (a 501.c.3 nonprofit corporation)

GHOST CHACE A GREAT TIME

I ran this race last year . well organized starts and finishes on the bank of Illinois river. Very scenic. Flat fast course, smooth streets well staffed. The "Ghost" is a national level runner. Fun to see some amazing runners perform. Funds go to IVC marching band. I recommend this as a great time for a great cause.

Overall a good race and fun time:)

I will run this race next year, but I think a good addition for future races would be to have the band play, either before or after the race. Also I haven't seen any results posted. I didnt see my time when i ran through the finish and would love to know my time!

Did we Chase a Ghost?

I enjoy this race as we get to dress up and have fun! I did like it better when we ran down by the river and the after party was at Banana’s. Where was the band this year, did the proceeds go to them? I always enjoyed when they played for us. This new course is definitely for cross country runners. Thanks to all the volunteers!
