The Parowan City Half Marathon - Yankee Meadow Run is one of the most beautiful runs in all of Utah. The race starts on the south side of the beautiful Yankee Meadow Reservoir in the Yankee Meadow Reservoir Recreation Area. This year the race will be run on August 3, 2024. We will also be having a Yankee Doodle Dash for children and a Rebel 5K! Both with start at the Iron County Fair Building.

Packet Pickup will be held on the August 2, Iron County Fair Building 50 N 600 E clinic way from 4pm-8pm and Saturday August 5 from 4:30am-5:30am
Race Starts at 7am
Buses leave at 6am
5K starts south end of Fairbuilding
5K start time : 7am
Yankee Doodle Dash start time 10am

Beautiful Race
The sunrise at the lake before the start of the race was amazing both years I ran. This is a fun, fast, downhill course that is not over crowded and has amazing views the entire time.

Down Hill with a great view
This was my first half-marathon and they really put the expectation high after it. Even those the race landed up having to move the course due to weather issues a week before taking out the road, it was still well organized. Also landed up being a beautiful view starting off. Great race - can't wait until the 2018 race.

My favorite Half. When it gets in town it seems like the last 3 miles are uphill.
Gorgeous downhill half
First off, I love this race. I have done it the past two years. It is a mostly downhill stunning course. It is not overcrowded and I love that you don't have to bus up to the top several hours early like you do with other races. The price is great as well! I will say that the first three miles are on gravel, and although that can't be changed (I wish it could!) you should be prepared for it, as running on gravel is more difficult than road. Also, there are a lot of rolling hills throughout, so prepare for that and pace yourself as well. And once you get into town, its all uphill. (Slight grade, but its very difficult after running downhill for 11 miles.) The always have excellent food & drink at the finish line. Overall great race, but not as easy as you might expect.
