Support a Great Cause: Every step you take helps make a difference. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Richmond Rockets Scholarship Fund, ALS Watchdawgs, and Sunrise Day Camp. These incredible organizations provide scholarships, support those battling ALS, and offer unforgettable summer experiences for children with cancer and their siblings.

Fun for the Whole Family: Dress up in your favorite Halloween costume and bring the kids along for the fun! There will be a special Kids Dash for the little ones, a costume contest with exciting prizes, and Halloween treats for all participants.

Scenic Course: The 5K course takes you through the beautiful and serene Silver Lake Park, offering a perfect backdrop for your run or walk. Enjoy the crisp autumn air and the stunning fall foliage as you make your way through the park.

How to Register:

Register today and secure your spot in this ghoulishly good time! Early bird registration is just $30 for adults and $20 for 18 and under until October 26th. After that, the fee increases to $40 for adults and $30 for 18 and under on race day, so don’t wait! Kids 12 and under can participate in the Kids Dash for free.

Our Beneficiaries:

Richmond Rockets Scholarship Fund: The Rockets give out two-three $1000 scholarships every year to High School seniors on Staten Island who are part of their HS Track teams.  The scholarship is based on their academics and service to the community along with an essay.

ALS Watchdawgs: We strive to improve life for those with ALS and their families. We work with families to help them navigate the many challenges of this disease and to access the best care and services. This includes assisting with transportation, housing, purchasing and installing medical devices and adaptive equipment, accessing medical care and holistic treatments. Recognizing also the importance of friends and family we help support trips, activities, and events that bring people together, that allow them to have fun, smile, and enjoy life.

Sunrise Day Camp: Sunrise Day Camp is the world’s first full-summer day camp for children with cancer and their siblings, provided completely free of charge. The Lucille & Jay Chazanoff Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island is the only day camp of its kind in New York City. The camp serves children from Staten Island, Brooklyn, Manhattan, and nearby New Jersey. The camp, which is located on the grounds of Staten Island Academy, serves over 150 children every year. Activities include sports, music, arts & crafts, swimming, and other games. Recognizing the extraordinary financial demands that a child’s chronic illness can have on a family, Sunrise Day Camp and its year-round and in-hospital programs, Sunrise Sundays and Sunrise on Wheels, are provided completely free of charge to campers’ families. Sunrise Day Camp-Staten Island proudly serves children with cancer and their siblings from Staten Island, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and nearby New Jersey on a non-sectarian basis. We are a proud member of the Sunrise Association, whose mission is to bring back the joys of childhood to children with cancer and their siblings worldwide.
