Amazing ride organization and over the top gracious event staff and hosts. First time event participants for myself plus nine other cyclist from Mooresville, NC with the Brawley Drafters. Course was well marked, well documented route sheets and route file on ride with GPS. Cool swag and really liked the rider sign up board gave the feel of being pro cyclist signing in for the ride. Our club had riders of varying abilities and we did the two and three bridges ride. All ten participants are planning on returning hoping we have additional club participants next year. Ride course did enter some congested areas but the traffic control combined with the welcoming community made the ride feel safe. Many Thanks for hosting a great event with scenic views of Eastern NC.
We are out of USA 10/23/2021 until 11/04/2021 It was fun last year, so we will try to make it.
Everyone had the best time last year & I'm sure they will all be back and bring more cyclists. Who doesn't want to go to the beach for great cycling?! Many are making it an annual event not to miss!
Props to you and the Rotary club for all the hard work y’all put into the ride. All the hard work and prep didn’t go unnoticed. Looking forward to next years event. Me and my brother Keith Gore did ride 25.3 miles of the 31 mile route. We still had a blast. Thanks again!
Thanks to you, your volunteers and sponsors for your hard work on the Three Bridges ride this year. Too bad Mother Nature didn't get your sunny and 70 degrees memo. We managed to breeze (not) through the 32 mile route despite the adverse conditions. We look forward to receiving the information about next year's ride.
Thank you for considering our safety. I was looking forward to participating in a great ride, but I appreciate your looking out for us! I will try again next year. Thank you to all of the Awesome volunteers and all of the work everyone did!
I rode the two bridge blue route today. The wind was tough coming back over the bridges but overall conditions were not as bad as I expected. I’m glad I decided to come out and give it a try. I will definitely be back and hope to do the full 63 miles next year. Thanks for organizing a great event.
Some of us still went out and did the ride. Wind was not to bad on all the bridges but it was gust pretty high. Look forward to next year with good weather!
Fabulous bike event. First time but definitely not the last. The start was great, music, festive, tons of super kind volunteers. The course was extremely well marked and what a beautiful course it was. Aid/rest stops were so stocked and again, the absolute best volunteers! This club announced the results of all their volunteer efforts in giving back to the community and what a great club. Community support for this event is outstanding. Again, lovely route very well marked.
We enjoyed the tour, starting with spectacular weather and including excellent navigation marking and enthusiastic volunteers. Our biggest concern is who this event targets -- it seems ideal for road cyclists averaging 18 mph and finishing in a few hours. For those of us riding more like 14 mph, all the rest stops and finish line were closing as we got there. Which is fine, but then you may want to make it clear this is more of a fast ride than family friendly tour for a range of ages and speeds.
Thank you for the review. The goal of our event from the beginning has been to accommodate all riders regardless of speed and skill. We want to encourage any and all riders to participate. Each year we record when the first and last riders arrive at each rest area and finish line. Thank you for that constructive feedback and we will make sure all times are extended in the future. Thank you for attending and we hope you will come back next year!
Overall, I enjoyed the ride. It was well organized and the volunteers were helpful and enthusiastic. One suggestion would be to include a little more variety at the rest stops. Perhaps cookies and/pretzels?
This was my first time participating in the ride, and I was very impressed with how well the course was marked and how well equipped the aid stations were. The volunteers were all kind and encouraging, and the views from the bridges were spectacular. All in all it's well worth the ride!
Excellent directions. Roads marked well. Helpful people.
Well organized ride for a good cause!
This was a great event. It was my first. The volunteers were friendly, it was organized and a great cause. It might be helpful to put out little signs on Beach rd and Georgetown rd advising that there is a ride in progress. Or some notification to drivers to be patient and cautious. I hope to be back next year. Great event!!
Although the event page gives you very little information and we arrived not knowing if there were aide stations or what the support would be like, the ride is very well supported. There were four well stocked aide stations about every 15 miles. The route is very well marked and there were police at many intersections. The SAG support from Cartier and Steve was the best. They even provided my riding partner with a replacement tube and tire at no charge when she had a flat!!! Next year hopefully they will have a vegetarian option for the boxed lunches at the end of the ride and a little more variability in foods at the aide stations. Hint: the half way point would be a good place for some PBJs! Overall excellent, beautiful ride supported by some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Highly recommended.
Thank you for the review. We are working on making the website more informative for next year.
Good job....Enjoyable ride...good rest stops...friendly folks at each stop. A good way to see the area and the 3 bridges and beach communities.
this is the most well organized and supported ride. all the volunteers were so helpful and rest stops were a joy to stop at. gatorade and pickles would be a great addition as to help with cramps should anyone have them. looking forward to next years tour ride. the sag support and bike mechanics are the best anywhere around.
It is very organized. The roads are marked at every crossroad if you need it. Sag stops were spaced out and had everything you could want. The traffic was heavy in places but it’s at the beach, so it is what it is. There was a large police presence and support. The road conditions were a 7 to 8 out of 10. The bridge climbs are steep (six in total). But that makes it fun. The volunteers and organizers were very friendly. Great ride!
This was my first time doing this ride and it was fantastic! My sister & I did the 2 bridges course, and the road markings were excellent. The post ride gifts (medal & wine glass) were such a happy surprise, even the boxed lunch was delicious. I am so excited to tackle the 3 bridges ride next year and hopefully we will recruit more riders to join in on the fun so we can have a team registration.
Great time
Great event, Rotary does a great job.
This ride is fun and a good tough work out! The road markings are probably the best I have seen and the roads are all very good.
First time for a group of 6 of us ladies from the Winston-Salem area. We came because 2 other couples from the W-S area were there and had told us about the ride. We really enjoyed the route until we headed for the 3rd bridge to Holden Beach. In all our years of riding we have never been so close to being hit by car after car after car in such a short amount of time. The drivers went above and beyond being so mean and nasty, and to think we are there to help raise money for THEIR communities and THEIR businesses. Whatever enjoyment we had on the rest of the ride was wiped out by these unforgiving, impatient idiots who cared nothing at all about anything other than saving 30 seconds, no matter what the cost, even if that cost was our lives. I know you have no control over this situation but if you could at least ask the police departments to possibly put some officers/deputies along those main roads to Holden and watch as these idiots try to take us out and maybe hand out a some tickets since there is a law that says the car driver is supposed to give us 4 feet, not 4 inches, that would be great. If we do come back for this ride we've decided we won't be doing the 3 bridges again, we would only do the 2 bridges route because our lives just aren't worth it.
Thank you for your review. Safety is and always will be top priority. We are already working on next year. This review will be shared with local law enforcement as evidence of my concerns. If drivers can’t do better, then we have no choice but to shut entire lanes down moving forward. Thank you for attending
Enjoyed the ride and all the extras
