Running Club @ UW has teamed up with the Black Student Union to fight the systemic racism prevalent throughout our country and communities, and we need your help! The Arbery Virtual Race is Running Club’s first virtual race, and our proceeds will go to the Wisconsin Black Initiative Fund. We are a social running club that prides ourselves on welcoming runners of all levels and backgrounds. No one should fear for their lives when going on a run. For that reason, we have decided to make our race 5.11 kilometers to honor the birthday (May 11th) of Ahmaud Arbery, who was murdered while jogging on February 23, 2020.
